Description

Description: ImmobilienScout24 is the largest online platform for real estate in Germany. Both private and commercial real estates are offered on the homepage. For the price index, only residential real estate offerings were considered.  In addition, adverts that were temporarily disabled were excluded (this happens when a potential buyer has been found but the contract has not been signed yet). These were excluded as they are not available for sale for potential buyers. When placing an advert online, the seller does not have to give any mandatory information. Yet, in most adverts, the price that the seller wants to achieve is included. Note that this is the offer price and not the transaction price.

Note: In contrast to transaction data, offer price data are available more quickly. Hence, these data can be used to analyse most recent price develeopments.
